Welcome to North River’s Worship Ministry!

Our vision is to develop passionate and influential God-worshippers. We are excited to partner with you in ministry and we can’t wait to get to know you.

We focus on developing the following foundational values:

Christ Centered-  our understanding of Christ-Centered worship

Character – our conduct as worshippers of Jesus

Craft – how we hone our skills and gifts with excellence

Communication – how we engage the congregation in ministry

Culture – being a part of a church family with similar interests and callings

To get involved, you must go through a brief and informal audition.  We also encourage you to take our 101 course for a better understanding of North River’s specific mission.

Please contact Worship Pastor David Coate for more information.

Music Ministry

If you are gifted in music and are interested in the music ministry, we would love to hear from you!  We are always on the lookout for new vocalists and instrumentalists.  North River’s worship music ministry consists of several bands and teams of vocalists.  Rehearsals are on Thursday night at 7 pm.  Sunday morning run-throughs and sound checks are typically done at 7 am, with drama run-throughs at 8 am.  Services are at 9 am and 11 am on Sunday.

North River has an informal audition process.  While excellence in music is high on our list of priorities, spiritual development of worship staff is higher.  We view music as a communication tool, but passion and knowledge of God is the driving force behind the ministry.

Please contact Worship Pastor David Coate for more information.

Drama Ministry

If you have an interest and gifting in drama ministry, we would love to hear from you!  The drama ministry has been a consistent element of North River services for many years.  Dramas are often selected and cast to fit a particular Sunday theme and message.  Communication through drama and real world situations can set up the pastor’s message in a powerful way.

Drama rehearsals are on Wednesday at 7 pm.

Contact Drama Team Leader to participate.

North River’s sound team does an amazing job mixing live music, drama productions, and sound reinforcement for pastor’s messages.  While sound engineering does require some technical aptitude, having a good ear for music and a willingness to learn certainly ranks high on the list.

If you are interested in getting involved on the sound team, we would love to hear from you!

Video and media presentations at North River are becoming more important as time goes on.  We live in a digital age where communication is increasingly done through colorful graphics on high resolution displays.  North River ministries use video and media during services and other events to support presentations of the gospel.  Video/Media staff project lyrics for worship songs so that people can easily sing along as well as additional graphics to support the message.

We are always on the lookout for camera operators and people interested in video and media.
